Project description

I made this work around the time that climate change became a key issue in the international and local media. Humorously, it wasn't the increasing individual commitment or changes to lifestyle that bothered the people around me, but rather, they were concerned with how ugly the world would be without tungsten light! I proceeded to create a temporal sculpture out of 2 large size blocks of ice (50cm x 50cm x 30cm each). Embedded within the ice was a series of small tungsten lights I was curious to see at what point in the process the lights would go out.
