Forever The Motion 2009
Project description
These videos and images are a result of an experiment between myself and performance artist Robyn Wilson.
I wrote some interactive patches that are 'triggered' by movement. Here you see the performer (Robyn) being recorded live and that footage simultaneously running through a 'patch' creating a visual effect that is then (in real time) projected back onto her body in space. This process was then recorded and is what you see here.
A number of patches were used, as well as my most recent interactive installation Potential Energy which you can see featured (abstractly) in video 2.
These videos were then used as the visual component of a collaborative audio / visual performance 'gig' at Black & Blue Gallery in Sydney. Check to see the documentation of the live performance on this site under 'Collaboration', 'Forever The Motion'.
